I’d been cooking a lot lately and I guess Bev’s culinary urges were feeling deprived, so she made up a batch of gourmet dog food. She began with a half dozen beaten eggs as a binder then added some chopped old lunchmeat, the Mexican rice we didn’t care for, a jar of canned green beans from a few years ago, chopped carrots & celery, and a few other leftovers from the frig. She mixed it well, cooked everything together, and it looked like this.
Then she mixed in some dry dog food.
Finally, she made individual serving sized balls and froze them - I thought they looked pretty tasty myself :-).
Actually, this is something she does regularly, cooking deprived or not, and the pups love them.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Lucky dogs! Too bad I can't do anything like this for my cats, who give new meaning to word finicky.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your dogs are well loved and taken care of.
ReplyDeleteSome lucky dogs!! Not all pets are so loved!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea. It's not hard to tell you folks love your pets. I hope you both are having a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteMan---those dogs eat high on the hog, like their Ma and Pa do!!!!! Goodness---why can't "I" be a doggie in your house?????
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.

Actually I thought it looked pretty tasty until she had to go and add the dry dog food. All kidding aside, this is a really good idea.
ReplyDeleteThere are never leftovers here; Thor gets them right away. He is jealous of your wife's culinary skills.
