I've been having trouble commenting to a blog anytime I had to enter my "profile" below the comment. Technogeek daughter, Wende, didn't know why but figured out that it would work fine so long as I made sure the "stay signed in" box was not checked. Give it a try if you're having the same issue.
Here's the slate of attendees for our blogger party and I'm really excited to have the opportunity to see those returning for the second time and meet those I've only met thru the magic of the internet.
Ross & Rhonda Ramsey - Knoxville, TN
Elizabeth Spelling (Cook Appeal) – Princeton, NJ
Lisa Redwine - Nickelsville, VA - Alissa & Alivia
Robyn Medlin Lindars (Grill Grrrl) – South Florida
Dave & Jackie Scott (My Year On The Grill) – Kansas City
Beverly & Larry Doolittle (Big Dudes Eclectic Ramblings) – Greenback, TN
Looks like 17 adults and 4-5 teenagers for a fun filled day on the lake at Almost Heaven South.
Chris & Alexis and Bev & I are getiing together Sunday to finalize the Texas BBQ menu and other details which we'll publish and send out to the attendees soon after.
Sorry you haven't heard much from me lately, but have been very busy and got behind on my blog reading - hope to do better soon. Also, I won't be posting as often for awhile.
Wed was BBQ day and what could be better than hanging around a hot smoker on a 95* day - root canal and hitting oneself in the head with a hammer come to mind - snowing in Kirkwood, CA again yesterday.
All photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

Larry
I wish, wish, wish, I could be there! We are spending father's day with my father-in-law, though. So, please take lots and lots of pictures.
ReplyDeleteI've been having the same trouble Larry.
ReplyDeleteHave fun and I can't wait to hear all about it!
Mika
Blogger has been driving a lot of us crazy lately. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see everyone in a couple of weeks. It's going to be quite a party.
Sam
I really wish I could be there and will be so anxious to see the photos and hear about all that wonderful food. I have to admit I was a bit concerned when you hadn't posted for a couple of days, wondered if the cicadas has carried you off! Except for your blog, with a one click comment set up, I'm always frustrated with Blogger. There are sometimes 4 clicks before your comment will post, plus that cryptic word verification. gripe...gripe...gripe. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I'm really green with envy. I would love to meet all the party goers and enjoy some of your great barbecue. Oh well, maybe next time.
ReplyDeleteLarry I am having trouble leaving comments on some blogs too. Something is wrong with my internet explorer and it is beyond me. I have to tell you something fun, I went to clear the "winter" bramble out of my little school garden a few weeks ago and to my surprise my last years tomatoes reseeded! So we have a garden full of tomato plants and I did nothing! Instant garden and all the teachers are thrilled that we will harvest tomatoes all summer long- now if I could only remember what type of tomatoes I had planted last year!! Well anyway I love surprises. Has this ever happened to you?
ReplyDeleteLarry, Nice crowd for the party!! Should be lots of fun... We're really looking forward to it. Hopefully, it won't be 95 degrees on that day. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteI sense a good time coming. The folks you've listed are to a man/woman great
ReplyDeletepeople and it will be a fantastic party.
Have a great weekend, Larry >y best to Bev. Blessings...Mary
Hope you have a wonderful time. Life here has gotten busy, too, and I feel guilty not visiting as much as I'd like to. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm just dying to see the pictures and the write up. Think you can talk Chris into posting some videos? It would be so much fun to see you all in a movie!
ReplyDeleteIt's finally here! woohooo!
ReplyDeleteI sooo wish I could be there with all of you. Could you please tell eveyone who is coming that I wish with all of my heart that I could be there with you. Tell Dave Scott, I would know him anywhere. Tell his Jackie that I admire her greatly. Tell Sam, that she is my best buddy. Tell Meakin that he is so cool. Tell Bev that I appreciate her hospitality. Tell yourself, that you are wonderful to do this. Tell everyone else that bloggers rock!
