And the second important thing for me was to go to our rally hosts home for an afternoon in their treehouse – yep you heard right. After years of searching for a lot upon which to build a home, they finally found one which had a Live Oak large enough for a treehouse which was a main criteria.
There were no holes put in the tree and the entire structure is supported by cables around the branches which are protected from damage by the cables. It appears to be about two stories high to the main deck.
The view of Escambia Bay from the main level is very nice.
And it’s even better from up there.
While the guys hung out on the patio, the girls congregated in the treehouse.
One of the tree branches supports a swing that Pat and Steve are enjoying.
After hanging around for a couple of hours and visiting, we had a supper of smoked brisket and chicken from Hot Shot BBQ and I thought they did a nice job with both meats.
As it turned out, this was Bev’s birthday so we had a cake for her and a card signed by everyone.
As for the treehouse, it looks really cool at night.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven
