Our Little Trip To Paradise – Topper’s Restaurant

Our next to last supper in St. Maarten was a short walk down the road or beach at Topper’sRestaurant & Bar which came with friendly service and live music.

Bev and Pat split the Mango Chicken Salad - grilled tarragon chicken, fresh grilled mangos, scallions, cucumbers and vinaigrette on a bed of greens.

Friend, Kathy, isn’t much for fish so she usually ate beef and tonight it was a Hanging Kebab but I couldn’t find it on the online menu for a description.

And I had the Crab Stuffed Mahi-Mahi described as a light white fish filet stuffed with crabmeat and shrimp then topped with a white wine cream sauce and served with Topper’s rice and spinach.

My fish was delicious and clearly the best thing I ate while on the island and if I go back, it will definitely be on the plan for two times.  After we ate, we went to the bar area and listened to a very good singer glide thru many tunes to recorded music – everything from island to Neil Diamond to Elvis.

I try to keep a low profile about this, but when I walked by the singer and he asked how I happened to have three women and then put the microphone up to my mouth, I had to just admit "I'm a stud."  I'm not sure he believed me until he noticed the women were all grinning.  Did I tell you I have some ocean front property in Arizona for sale?

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.
