If you like fast food breakfast biscuits and don’t pass by the restaurants very often just buy a dozen of your favorite biscuits (Hardees, McDonalds, Bojangles, etc.), freeze them individually and store in a bag in the freezer. Then, when you need a biscuit sandwich fix you are ready as I was with this meal. I had ham, Swiss cheese, and egg on hand to make this one. I just nuked the biscuit a little to warm it then the cheese and ham then cooked the egg.
As I’ve mentioned, it is asparagus season, and to use it, I made a meal using the recipe for One Pan Salmon Asparagus from “Natasha’s Kitchen” blog.
It was good but not great but it did make for a nice presentation.
My meal plan has settled into breakfast around 10:30am, a
plate of pork rinds around 2:30, and supper 6-6:30. Since Bev usually eats a late breakfast, this suits her as well.
The more colorful azaleas are now making an appearance.
One of the basement doors on our RV got damaged and I was able to find places in Seymour, TN (38 Mile drive) to repair and paint it.
Photos can be enlarged by clicking on them and the blue words are links.
Have a great day
and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

Sorry to see the RV got damaged. The meal looks really good stay safe and enjoy your time.
ReplyDeleteThanx for pics of azaleas …. I’ll be home soon to see them. And….long hair is what I’ve enjoyed my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteSeems you and Al feel the same way about hairstyles. 🤣 I enjoy Natasha's kitchen and even bought her new cookbook. Enjoy the spring weather.
ReplyDeleteBummer about the RV but glad it was an easy fix. Your breakfast sandwich looks tasty and I like the idea of buying your favorite biscuits and freezing them! It's too bad the salmon and asparagus meal wasn't your favorite, but at least you didn't have lots of dishes to do. I used to have very long hair, but the older I get, the less it wants to grow...such is life.
ReplyDeleteHi Larry, We've been keeping Pillsbury Grands in the freezer for our sausage gravy fix...but I like your idea much better! No cooking and breakfast is ready very quickly...either as a sandwich or otherwise. That salmon dish looks great...sorry it didn't measure up for you. Great to hear that Cindy is truly on the mend! What can I say about the RV...one more repair completed before it goes up for sale. As for the lady's hair...I like Laurie with shorter hair and so does she. But I do like long hair on women. This is a topic that men should avoid unless one totally agrees with one's better half. As for Savannah and Jennifer Garner's hair styles, I'm with you...just not attractive. But then again, both of us are old and many would consider us 'sexists'. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you can wait until 10:30 to eat. I wake up hungry and eat breakfast early. I like your idea of keeping biscuits in the freezer. And if I could grow my hair long like photo #1 I would. I've always wanted long hair, it just won't grow past my shoulders - darnit.
