Blogger Brunch Leftovers & Blogger Party

As I mentioned on the blogger brunch post, we had plenty of leftovers and since I had a hard day of gardening facing me, I started it off with a good carb load, as if I needed an excuse.  It includes two slices of stuffed fatty, a country ham biscuit, and a biscuit with sausage gravy.  Just take two Lipitor and dig in.

I could only eat one piece of the fatty, but it was all still good leftover.

The next day and facing another big day in the garden (trying to get everything wrapped up) I fixed up a good breakfast from leftovers.  Have you noticed how I use that garden work to justify these big meals I eat.  The first thing I did was mix the potatoes with the peppers and onions as they were served seperately for the brunch.  Then I plated them and topped with the bacon - I normally would have chopped the bacon but thought this made for a sexier photo.

I nuked these, toppped with a couple of scrambled eggs and some reheated sausage gravy.

I could only eat 2/3 of it but Bev ate the rest when she got up.

Double click on the above for details of our upcoming blogger party.  We discovered that we scheduled it for Father's Day, but decided to proceed - treat Dad to a day trip to Almost Heaven South.  Several folks have already committed, but I'd like to hear from everyone by June 1 who plans to attend - email  We want to be sure we have plenty of food, but don't want to overbuy.

All photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  1. Larry if you weren't so far away and I didn't have plans already for that weekend-(son's graduation party) I would be there!
Good luck, I can't wait for the pictures

  2. Garden work can be super strenuous! These leftovers sound delicious!

  3. You are way too far away for me but I really wish I could come! Sounds like you are going to have a great time! I can't wait to hear all about it.

  4. Larry - your are truely the "King of the Leftover", nothing goes to waste and it all looks so good.

If only I could drag New Zealand closer to the US - I would so love to join in your blogger party and lurk in your kitchen, picking up tips, and then cooking for you and Bev as a huge thank you for the joy I get from your blog.

Sending care and huggles to you both, Michelle downunder in Wellington, NZ

  5. I'll get my post up today!

  6. Larry, Well at least you have an excuse...i.e., hard labor, for your hefty breakfasts. I eat like that and I don't have any justification for it at all! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  7. We'll be there. You and Bev sure have some great breakfasts Larry.

  8. Can't wait for the pictures!

  9. Wish I could come to the party but I am so far away! Sounds like a great time. I look forward to seeing plenty of pictures!
