I was
digging around in the freezer the other day and came across a package of
homemade sausage. I made it using the
Czech spices from Novak’s Meat Market
in El Campo, Texas to which I'd added chopped jalapenos and high melting-temperature
cheddar cheese.
I grilled
them all, ate one for lunch on a bun with homemade kraut and the next morning,
used the second one for a simple breakfast sandwich with just scrambled eggs
and mayo.
It was
delicious and I’m sure glad I found them.

Have a great
day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

ReplyDeleteI'm hungry for one of those links on a bun with the kraut.
ReplyDeleteI was looking for an update on your last motor home trip but you can fill me in over the next margarita.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great way to start the day. I'll bet it is delicious.
ReplyDeleteYUM.... That looks delicious... I love that kind of sausage --and I'm sure it's great with eggs.... I'm sure it's better than my Greek Yogurt.... ha ha

What a great freezer find. I need to have breakfast with you at least once in this life! It always looks so delicious. You must have a very happy wife :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that your breakfast was great. Growing up in Texas, sausages played a big part in cooking and was always well seasoned. Making your own sausages with the Czech spices...yum.
ReplyDeleteLarry, Now that's my kind of breakfast sandwich!! The other day I had leftover marinated skirt steak with cheddar cheese and a fried egg... Another good sandwich. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed by your homemade sausage! Your are the breakfast king and this looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteSausage and eggs are a great sandwich! And when it's your own sausage, that's just so much better!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious, Larry. I adore breakfast sandwiches.
ReplyDeleteP.S. What are the odds I could convince you to add a search box on the sidebar of your blog? :) Have a great night!
That mix sounds a little spicier than the version you made last year, how did you like it in comparison?
