As I mentioned in the mushroom omelet post, I have shrooms that need to be used and this is meal two. I went on line and found this recipe that sounded good, was easy, and met the two main criteria of containing mushrooms and pork tenderloin. I followed the recipe as written, except I doubled the mushroom and gravy amounts so I’d be sure to have enough for the noodles.
Browning in butter and I added a little olive oil.
The gravy's done.
I had planned to side it with a salad and egg noodles, but decided the salad would be too much and I had no egg noodles, but fettuccini worked fine. My plate pre gravy.
And post gravy.
I thought it was good but think it needed a little more flavor - perhaps some additional herbage would have moved it up a notch or two.
Have a great day.
Larry
This does look tasty - I've never had pasta with gravy! I laughed when you gave up the salad . . . that's just naughty.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking that post gravy! And giving up the salad for the pasta??? That calls for 50 lashes with a wet noodle. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteThat looks good!

Definitely a meal my hubby would like! He is a big fan of mushrooms. Maybe you should do as Betsy says and open your own restaurant or something!
ReplyDeletethe mushroom gravy with pasta looks tasty to me ... I am not so much for the pork
ReplyDeleteYeah, I find I need to double the quantities for the gravy, I'm a gravy hound! Looks good to me from here!
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty yummy to me! Funny, I had the same "mushroom dilemma" the other day. I needed a few mushrooms for something can't even remember what now, and asked The Cajun to grab "a thing of mushrooms" on the way home. He came home with a large container of sliced mushrooms! Having loads left I couldn't figure out what to do with them, so I made a mushroom sauce (gravy) and stirring in some pasta! Isn't that funny?
