You know what this is?
Yes, of course, it’s a hamburger.
You know how long it’s been since I’ve eaten one?
At least
four months and 55 pounds ago.
You know what this is?
It’s my 1/3lb grilled burger, added to a big bun (yes bread) and topped with cheese, mayo, mustard, tomato, lettuce, onion, and dill pickle. As best I could calculate, it contained 675 calories and I did not care – I’d eaten lite all day so I ate the whole thing.
For our Friday afternoon get together, we served burgers
and chips and my burger was absolutely awesome - I think I'll eat another one someday.
Hip Update:
Therapy continues to go very well and while I still have a slight pain (more like an ache) when I walk, I have moved from the walker to a cane and I can envision being off it in the next week or so.

Have a
great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

Burger looks great!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on moving to the cane! The cheeseburger looks KILLER and I love that you ate a bun & chips with it. You deserve a tasty meal!
ReplyDeleteLarry, Glad to hear that you're making good progress re; the healing process. Nice looking cheeseburger. Now the challenge is resisting another... Keep up the good work! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteCongrats on that burger! Happens to be my favorite food ever. We just grilled our first burger of the season and I savored every single bite. I happen to think 1/3 pound is perfect, with American cheese, mustard and those cheap burger dill pickles. Tomato when it's in season. Congrats on that cane transition. You'll be in that coach before you know it.
