On The Road For A Three Stop RV Club Rally – Day 4 - Paula Deen's

On of Cindy’s desires while in Savannah was to eat at a Paula Deen restaurant and we opted for Paula Deen’s Creekhouse Seafood & Grill which was Uncle Bubba’s (owned by Paula and her brother) when we ate there many years ago.  It's located on the way to Tybee so it doesn't get any drop in business and it was pretty empty for this visit.

We were seated at a nice table next to open doors and looking out on the marshes – this part of the restaurant was new since our last visit.

For our meals, it was fried catfish basket ($9.99), fish tacos ($10.49), fish and chips basket ($9.99), shrimp baskets ($10.99) - no pic

We all thought are meals were very good and the shrimp eaters were commenting about the fresh, sweet shrimp.  With such good meals at a modest price, this was definitely not tourist food and we would all go back there.

From the restaurant, we drove out to Tybee Island for stops at the lighthouse and Fort Screven then on down to Tybrisa street for a brief shopping stop.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  4. Larry, We love Savannah and the area around it. We have to get back down there! Didn't like Paula's place in Savannah but the Creekhouse really looks good. We've been to Ft. Pulaski but we missed Ft. Scriven...more to see the next time! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  5. Gosh, I haven't heard much about Paula Deen in a few years. The food looks just like I'd expect from one of her restaurants. Comfort food at its best.
