Three Stop RV Rally – Day 5 - Savannah - Tubby's

Our neighbors had to return home on Thursday but since they were not in a big hurry to leave, we decided to head back down to E. River St. for another fish meal at Tubby’sSeafood which we picked due to the big line to get in the other day we were there.  No waiting today so we were escorted upstairs thru the outside dining area and into the dining room.

After two meals of fish and one with shrimp, I opted for the Fried Oyster Basket with a side of fried green tomatoes for the table to share.  The others had a Seafood Sampler Appetizer ($17), grilled tuna ($19), grilled snapper ($18) fish sandwich, and fried shrimp baskets ($16 - no pic).

Once again, we all enjoyed our meals with Cindy oohing and aahing over her tuna and Bev said the fish part of her meal was maybe the best ever.

This is the local sternwheeler on a river cruise.

Following the meal, we drove across the bridge into South Carolina so we could get some good shots of it.

Then drove a little further north to the Freightliner Service center so I could buy a new coolant sensor for the coach, then it was back to the campground to relax prior to the start of our RV club rally.

Later that evening we met up with the folks from our RV club to begin our rally with a salad supper, where we met some new folks and caught up with the others.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  1. All that seafood is making me hungry sounds like a feast . Love that Bridge I remember driving across it a few years ago.

  2. Traveling with friends is nice. One of the things that struck me when I've been to Savannah (and Charleston) is how everything looks like it's just starting to be moldy. I conclude that's because I'm looking at old structures in a very humid environment. But they look much nicer in my photos, when I review them from home a couple of weeks later. Still, I love the classical architecture, and I love contemplating the lives of people who've lived there through time. Glad you're having a wonderful time.

  3. Larry, Another great lead on a dining opportunity! Food looks great... Laurie would go for the oysters and I'd go for the grilled snapper. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
