Egg McMuffin My Way

I really enjoy English muffins and need to make them again, but these are from the store. I popped one in the toaster oven and got everything else ready. Half way thru the toasting process, I topped it with cheese, crispy bacon pieces, and green onion bottoms then back into the oven.

Previously, I’d put a couple of eggs on, covered, for sunny side up for this finished dish.

Almost as good as McDonald's :-) and I believe the next one may even beat them.

All photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  2. Yum! If the ones at McDonald's could only be this good!

Actually, when I finish typing this, I will be making them here for breakfast: English muffin with Canadian bacon, hard cooked egg and a slice of cheese. Yours sounds perfect though and I'll have to buy some green onions now for the next time!

  3. Daddy, I think you may single-handedly keep the local egg market thriving.

  4. I make English Muffin Bread, and love it, but let's face it, the big brand is really good at the English Muffins! I do love them.

  9. "Almost as good as McDonalds :)"

Now that IS hilarious! Last night when eating my hush puppies, Alexis said, "These are as good as you'd get at a restaurant."

    "Don't insult me," I replied!

I still want to make the brisket benedict that Chris Lilly was talking about.
