The plan for this day was to go to Agriturismo Biologico Diacceroni near Volterra (75 minute drive) for a pasta and pizza cooking class but since Bev needed to stay off her sprained ankle, I stayed home with her and Rhett and Beth went to the class. They both took the pasta class. Here is a shot of the place that I borrowed from the web.
These are their shots of the place which turned out to be another resort.
They made several kinds of pasta and now know how easy it
is.
They loved the tomato sauce which was just olive oil, paste and cherry tomatoes, salt, basil and a dash of nutmeg. Cook about 20 minutes.
So they had a great time on their drive thru the countryside and taking the class.
Using the same guide, I arranged for both Kathy & Keith
and Rhett & Beth to tour Florence on different days and with an ankle
injury, Beverly passed this second one so it was only Rhett and Beth for the
tour (the third event in a row that we missed with them), After being down for
a full week with a terrible cold, I finally ventured out and drove them to
Florence for their tour. I borrowed this
shot from the web but we saw the same view driving into Florence.
Photos can be slightly enlarged by clicking on them and the blue words are links.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven
South.

Beautiful. Now I want to make homemade pasta.
ReplyDeleteHi Larry, Bev is still suffering and you had a bad cold for a week... Yikes! At least your family members are having a good time. We really feel bad about your dream trip issues... Take Care, Dave and Laurie
ReplyDeleteSuch great scenery
ReplyDeleteDarn it!!! I'm so sad about you two being sick and Bev's ankle. You guys are troopers! I'm glad they had so much fun at the cooking class–the pasta looks delicious!
