Bev and I both like year round boat rides and take advantage of our clear plastic enclosure, which acts like a green house and keeps it very comfortable inside as long as it’s sunny. Here I have the front panels rolled up and the front cover pulled back for today’s 70* ride.
Here we are heading out of our cove toward the main channel. The dogs love to go for a boatride.
Many of the leaves were still hanging on but mostly justbrown at this point.
This is a golf hole at Tellico Village.
And I liked this dock because of the covers and the party areas - I didn't care for the hundreds of stairs from dock to the house.
This is one of the nice places along the lake.
And this is my neighbors house, which is one of the premier locations on the lake.
This day was as good as it gets for this time of year – warm, sunny, dead calm water, no other boats making wakes, little wind, good company. Life is good.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
Larry
I miss the lake already. Great idea to winterize your boat. I have to look at your previous post to see what kind of food you are talking about.
ReplyDeleteWow, it all looks so different from just a few months ago when we took that tour.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful place, Larry. It looks like you had a very enjoyable comfortable boat ride. Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I'm going to make one of those buns. They just sound so good. Thanks for taking us along on your boat ride. I love that 2nd photo of the trees.
ReplyDeleteLarry, Laurie and I really enjoyed the boat ride... Beautiful day and great company! The Pepperoni Rolls were yummy too...certainly the one without peppers was! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lake and I see why you call it Almost Heaven. ;) But you didn't need to mention those pepperoni rolls! now that is all I can think of... guess I better make some. Pete and I remember them well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful area Larry! Thanks for sharing your pics.
ReplyDeleteI think I could see your area --when we were up on the tower on the Foothills Parkway.. We could see the Tellico Lake from up there... Have you been up there??? It's NEAT.... I did a blog on it... Don't know if you saw it or not....
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice end of the season ride....
Betsy
What a lovely cruise along your lake Larry.

What a lovely place to live. I enjoyed the vicarious tour and suspect I'd love the buns. Few things in life are better than the company of good friends. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Larry! I'd love to have a clear wind cover on our boat so we could take a fall ride. How lucky for you!
