We began the next day with breakfast in the Greenbrier's very elegant main dining room which had a buffet.
We opted to order from the menu where the girls had a very decadent Bananas Foster French Toast and Steve and I just had eggs and meat.
Then we took the famous once secret bunker tour which was built to house congress in case of nuclear war but since the CSX railroad now leases much of the bunker and uses it for data storage, we couldn’t take any photos but you can see many here.
After the tour, we ate lunch at resorts Drapers Café where I had an awesome fried green tomato sandwich and the best ever sweet
potato fries.
Then the ladies had a two hour spa treatment and Steve and I lounged around the nearly empty at mid-afternoon Slamin Sammy’s Sports Bar and shot a game of pool – wow I am terrible at it.
We had supper at Sam Snead’s at the golf center (same building as Slammin Sammy's) where our meal was significantly delayed due to a kitchen fan problem and none of our meals were very good. Bev and Pat had loaded baked potatoes which were not fresh and Steve and I had the way over cooked trout - wouldn’t eat there again.

blue words are links.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven
South.
