Eliza Finally Rides, Kitty Drinks, and My Morning Walk

After getting Eliza her first bike and a big wheel in early April, we have finally gotten together to give them to her.  She’s getting them now so she can use them this summer since her BD and Christmas are Nov & Dec – but you knew that.

We got the Big Wheel for her to use when she comes here to ride on our driveway and the bike to take home and use in a park on grass to start – less skinned up body parts that way.

After her ride, Eliza enjoyed a little Meme and Teddy time.

We wanted to cook something very simple for supper so it was grilled hamburgers and tater tots using regular and extra crispy for a taste test.

The burgers were delicious and the original tater tots were not as crispy but I believe it is because they are not as big so for extra crispy, I’ll just cook them longer.

During my morning walk, I snapped a few pics of our landscaping with lots of plants in bloom - obviously need to finish my pressure washing of the driveway.

Kitty is somewhere in her early teens and after all these years and passing by the dogs water bowl several times per day she still insists on using this as her water bowl.

Photos can be enlarged by clicking on them and the blue words are links.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  1. Love that pink bike, love Teddy, love those grilled burgers, love the photos of Eliza and Bev and the flowers but not so much kitty's choice of water bowls. Too funny. We've had so much rain here over the last couple months that I feel like we're in competition with Almost Heaven South.

  3. Larry, Glad to see that the grandparents are doing all you can to spoil Eliza. It is a grandparent's duty after all! Miss Kitty still looks good...even from this view. Love a good home grilled burger...almost always better than one from a restaurant! Geeze...'thanks' for reminding me that our driveway and sidewalk need to be power washed. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
