Kathy
and the Texas grand kids are visiting and this was an easy meal for a crowd. I
debated about whether to title this post as I did or as "THE Summer Southern
Breakfast." Either way, it was delicious
- frozen biscuits (always Pillsbury for us), from-our-garden maters, sliced cheese (one cheddar & one pepper jack),
and Wrights bacon (our back-up to Benton’s), and a locally grown cantaloupe.

Wow that looks awesome, and bet is very tasty.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the idea!
Mmmmm....I could handle that for lunch, too!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine who wouldn't be happy with this breakfast. Wrights is our back-up bacon too.
ReplyDeleteSam
Perfect breakfast in SUMMER with the fresh fruit and maters!!! YUM...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your grandchildren...
Hugs,

Larry, Now this is a truly great looking breakfast! Good to the last bite... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteAlways like a good breakfast sandwich.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start a summer day. I've got ripe cherry tomatoes in the garden but my big slicing tomatoes haven't ripened yet.
ReplyDeleteLooks mighty tasty to me, especially with home grown tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteThat's my kind of breakfast! It looks delicious and I'd probably add a fried egg to it. I've never heard of either bacon, bet it's good though and home-grown maters, perfect! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYum, great idea :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that could be a Texas breakfast too :) Enjoy your family and I know they'll enjoy lots of good cooking while they're with you!
ReplyDeleteI love breakfast sandwiches and this looks really good. I just need to get another tomato from my plants. We've had so much cool weather and rain that they're all pink.
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me except for the cantaloup. Working with a bad batch of those for weeks on end in a produce department in high school turned me off of cantaloups forever. Just the smell makes my eyes water to this day.
ReplyDeleteThe biscuits are making me crave gravy biscuits.
