Italian Sausage Breakfast

I’d cooked a couple of links of Johnsonville Italian Sausage the previous night and ate one for dinner, leaving the other for breakfast, of course.  I used the same pan in which I’d fried the sausage, which still had the drippings in it.  After heating it up, I added some chopped onion and sweet pepper and when they’d softened some, I added the sausage, which had been chopped after removal of the casing.

When the sausage was warm, I added 2 beaten eggs for a scramble.  After plating, I added some grated parmesan, basil, and green onions.

It was delicious but using the same pan without washing was a bit much of the sausage flavor.

The steaks in the header were Wednesday nights supper and after discussing options for sides, we went with nothing and just ate the whole steak - or at least I did.

All photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  1. Sounds like a tasty breakfast even if it was a little TOO sausage-y.
