Pets And Stuff

When I began this blog, I did not intend for it to be as heavily slanted toward food as it has become - not as much other stuff to post about during the winter. So, while I will continue to do my food thing, I'm going to try to get more other topics as well.

I went out to get the paper the other morning and the sun wasn’t totally up so the full moon in the twilight really stood out. I’m still trying to figure out how to shoot these kinds of pictures. The first shot is closer to the real light but I like the second one for the detail on the moon.

I’ve posted before about the pets we live with – four dogs and one cat, all living indoors. Here’s a few shots of them doing what they do.

Coco and Joker are the two young ones and like to rough house. Everyone and everything is still a toy to Coco.

Sweetie Pie is the Alpha dog and keeps watch over her domain even while being taunted.

At about 13, Cody is the grand ole guy of the group and does a good job of tolerating the younger ones and as the one we’ve had the longest, he’s had to go through adopting the others.

Kitty is a typical hunter – lays around all day and hunts at night.

I get up before Bev, make coffee, take the dogs out, get Alex off to school, and read my morning paper – after checking the blogs of course. Coco likes to go out but go back to bed and this is how I found her and Bev the other day.

Don't know about where you are, but we've gone from winter to a few days of spring to summer - it's to be 80* here today. I'd prefer it stay cool until I get my spring chores done.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

  1. Nice moon shots Larry. They are difficult to pull off because of the scale. It just never looks the same on paper. It's just like taking pictures of the mountains.

  3. Nice group of pets you have there. Our one dog is big enough to be several, so he has to tolerate just having human friends. Love your moon pictures! Happy Easter to all of you in Almost Heaven South!

  4. Great moon shots. Beautiful. That first little dog is just a little punkin! And bless Cody's heart. And LOL, I have one that sleeps on my pillow. She's only 4 pounds though. This one of yours takes up a little bit more room.

  7. Love the shot of Coco on the pillow. I take shots of Wilson and the Mr. like that, but he would NOT like them on the blog. :)
