After our stop in Cetara, we headed back west and stopped in the town of Minori for lunch at the Ristorante Giardiniello which was recommended by the tour company owner, Roberto and it has been in business since 1955. It was very pleasant sitting under the pergola.
We liked the balsamic vinegar so I got a shot of it and were surprised to find it on Amazon when we got home.
For an appetizer, we selected an end of meal item – the cheese board which had four outstanding cheeses on it (pecorino, parmesan, provolone, and gorgonzola – all aged). To go with it there was an orange marmalade with horseradish in it – very unusual.
Bev ordered American pizza but I think she meant to order the pizza margherita.
And Wende and I each had the grilled seafood (Grigliata Mista Di Pesce)
Everything was very good and it was another good meal stop.
After lunch, and a stop at a local famous bakery, we drove back to Amalfi where Fabio dropped us off for the second part of the days journey. He would normally bring us back to Sorrento as part of the tour but we opted to see the Amalfi coast from the water so we took the ferry and opted to sit inside, out of the sun. This first part is from Amalfi to Positano.
This second part is from Positano around the peninsula to Sorrento where there is very little development near the water until Sorrento, which is perched on a cliff.
This is the road from the Sorrento port up into town - don't know if the canyon is natural or man made.
It was a grand day but words and pics just can't do justice to what we saw this day and after hearing about the Amalfi Coast for years, it was great to finally experience it.
Photos can be slightly enlarged by clicking on them and the blue words are links.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

Beautiful pictures of the coast. Im happy you took us along with you on the boat ride. I can't believe the stairs down to the water.
