The Girls Last Day I Paradise & Beautiful Sky

Friday was the girls last day in paradise and it was Cindy’s birthday so they had a celebration breakfast of fried potatoes and eggs, sliced pear, and avocado – I’d eat that.

As many of you may know, over the Thanksgiving weekend, the moon, Venus, and Jupiter were all visible in the night sky and they got this great sunset shot from their balcony.  The two planets are below and below right of the moon sliver.

They also went out for a birthday dinner to Nacho Mama's Mexican restaurant where Cindy really enjoyed her $14 Tuna Tower - "Sesame seared Ahi Tuna with chunks of avocado & Asian slaw and a tsunai sauce drizzle. Served with wonton chips."  Not sure what Bev's doing.

Pat and Bev shared the $12 Signature Item Nachos Grande described as - “Topped with a layer of chili and cheese, with lettuce, tomato, corn, onions, black olives, jalapenos, guacamole and sour cream.”  Bev said they were the worst she’d ever had and the margs weren’t particularly good either.

On Saturday, they departed Marco Island at 5:45am for the long drive home and rolled in about 8:15pm for a 14½ hour drive with the last couple of hours in the rain.  As you can imagine they were plenty tired but I had a big bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup waiting for them.

Boy was I glad  to have them home and next year I'm planning to go with them for one of the two weeks.

Photos can be enlarged by clicking on them and the blue words are links.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  2. Larry, That tuna tower looks pretty good! I do like raw tuna with sauces... Too bad about the pile of nachos and more importantly, the Margaritas! Great looking chicken noodle soup! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
