It was pretty on Tuesday but we needed a down day so we did very little except take a few walks, but the big event was watching our neighbors load up to leave. I’ll let the photos tell the story - he winches the car on and off.

I
talked with him before they left and he advised they had just measured their
total rig – 90 feet.
Since
there was a seafood platter special at Crawfish Town, USA, we decided to give
it a try for supper - Bev and I had it and Pat had the Spicy Shrimp and Chicken Pasta and we all enjoyed our meals.

You guys are getting your fill of seafood that's for sure - I would have done exactly the same. As for the neighbor's rig, wow, that is a lot of work to do each time you leave and doesn't even compare to your pretty coach.

Some people need to have all their toys, we like our coach and towed just fine.
ReplyDeleteThat is the craziest rig I've ever seen! These folks are definitely traveling in the lap of luxury. No way would I help out with the driving, though!

ReplyDeleteLarry, That is some rig that guy's pulling! Given the fact that the maximum length of a semi-trailer is 53' and a typical sleeper cab is about 8' long, this rig has to be illegal in some states...except perhaps on the Interstates. ReplyDeleteAnd I couldn't handle it when we were 72 feet long hauling the boat behind the fiver. 90 feet!!! That's not even legal in Montana where they really let you get away with a whole lot. What in the world is in the trailer?

ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH-----that Big Rig is amazing.... I cannot --- in my wildest dreams---imagine ever driving all over the country in something like that... My one question: What are they carrying in the attachment on the back? That is usually where a car would go... Unbelievable!

ReplyDeleteI think that spicy shrimp pasta looks incredible and I think you should recreate the recipe and share it with all of us. And that rig, the car and the whole set up is really a good idea.
