Wal-Mart Pizza Ala Beverly

Bev came in the other night with a Wal-Mart Meat Lovers Pizza, intent on kicking it up several notches.  She added tomatoes, sautéed onions, peppers, and garlic (all from our garden), plus mushrooms, green and black olives.

We cooked it indirect on the gas grill until the cheese started to melt then over direct heat to crisp up the crust.

Talk about making a silk purse from a sows ear, thanks to the extra effort Bev always puts in, it was delicious.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by Almost Heaven South.

  1. What I love about this post, Larry, is that you remind people that even if you are using a store bought product, you don't have to settle, you can easily jazz it up and make it your own! Nicely done, Bev!

  2. It really does look pretty terrific! What a great idea - Bev's speaking to me with this one! If I was lost on a desert island and could only eat one food all the time, it would be pizza. Have a great weekend!

  5. Larry, Well it is pretty! For me we'd have to leave off over half of the ingredients for me to eat it. Once again though, Bev has shown her creative and artistic side. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  6. Sometimes it's best to start with the premade basics and work your way up to a real meal! Looks like Bev has that down to an art!

Did I tell you my Kellie got a job through her brother and has moved to Knoxville? I'm proud of him for helping, and of her for getting the job, but I miss her like crazy. You know how that is.

  12. We get the pizzas from Sam's sometimes and my only complaint is that they are HUGE. We only get them when we are planning to make it right away or else it barely fits in the fridge! Looks like Bev did this one up right.
