They did a great job of explaining the hardships and intricacies of the issues. I actually felt bad for the Loyalists who were forced to abandon everything they had worked for, but that's the cost of choosing sides.

Glad you liked the chicken. I am a stickler for freezer burn--and will not eat anything out of the freezer if it has freezer burn on it... SO--last year, we bought the Food Saver machine at Sam's. It is fabulous for sucking the air out of the freezer bags ---and the food stays much nicer and fresher in the freezer using their bags. IF you don't have one of those little machines, I'd say it would be worth you while to get one.

BetsyBetsy Banks Adamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16223591156634767330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-511932079074193335.post-4947301225004673532010-07-07T11:26:35.656-04:002010-07-07T11:26:35.656-04:00I made some buttermilk chicken after Chris posted ...I made some buttermilk chicken after Chris posted his - it was great!Plain Chickenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10793228286154183086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-511932079074193335.post-58952831350038143442010-07-07T09:15:22.005-04:002010-07-07T09:15:22.005-04:00I really really want to try that buttermilk chicke...I really really want to try that buttermilk chicken recipe. I've had that one bookmarked too. Maybe next week. My Whole Foods has some buxsom chicken breasts as well except for a pretty price. I splurge every once in a while. And finally...why the heck don't I watch the History Channel more often????? I wanted to tell you that we finally managed to get Colorado settled and finished Centennial series. It was great fun watching scenes that were filmed just a couple of blocks from where we live. Highlands Ranch was at one time that huge working cattle ranch that was featured as the Venneford in the series/book. The mansion is still there, just a few blocks from where we live. Have I exceeded my character limit yet???? :-)Lea Annhttp://www.highlandsranchfoodie.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-511932079074193335.post-34957789673551702912010-07-07T07:56:36.235-04:002010-07-07T07:56:36.235-04:00Yum, I would love to pull up a chair and dig in. ...Yum, I would love to pull up a chair and dig in. What a delicious meal. I agree with you about the huge chicken breasts in the market. I much prefer the smaller ones, but wings are my favorite part. Love all that crisipy skin.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16675573152135600754noreply@blogger.com
